Left 4 Dead 2 is a first-person shooter which positions a player in the shoes of a zombie apocalypse survivor. This sequel to Left 4 Dead contains five new campaigns with an additional three as the downloadable content. Rochelle, Nick, Coach and Ellis are the new survivors who must slaughter hordes of zombies in order to reach the military for safety.

I would come across more than one thousand zombies throughout one campaign. Their vulnerability to bullets made it easy to mow through them with any automatic weapon in my inventory. Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs and boomer bile would serve as an aid for eliminating dense populations of zombies. You can only carry a single throwable weapon. The large variety of firearms only gets better knowing you can upgrade to incendiary ammo, explosive ammo and laser sight.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a user-friendly game. Changing certain binds to your preferences shouldn’t be a hassle. Even the option of altering sound audibility enables you to enjoy a clear conversation over Skype or TeamSpeak.

The point of survival is to stick together in case of a fatal accident. When joining several co-op games, I found it rather annoying that everybody would disperse into different directions. Soon enough, everybody would get killed off one at a time by a special zombie and overlook the point of sticking together to survive. At least the bots in single-player stick with you at all times.

Versus modes and the survival mode expand diversity in Left 4 Dead 2. Versus consists of a team of survivors and a team of special infected. The survivors must reach a safe house without getting demolished by the opposite team. After either winning or losing, the players switch teams. In survival a group of players must hold off zombies under a timer.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a social magnet. Getting together with friends in person or online is always great especially to play this game. The key element of communication when making way to safe houses motivates players to create various strategies to kill the most zombies while restraining potential health damage.

I'm Andrew, a Russian-Canadian dude living in Switzerland. I enjoy playing video games (obviously :P) and writing. I speak English, Russian, German, and I'm learning Spanish. My first console was either the GameCube or the Xbox. Both of them are terrific, but now I'm more of a PC gamer. I don't have a favorite game, but I spent over 2500 hours playing Garry's Mod and almost my entire childhood playing TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

Best zombie flick I had ever played, easily. It does everything right: Simple controls, many weapons to choose from (but each one still has unique characteristics), clever level design, fast-paced action, huge numbers of zombies on the screen at once (and yet somehow not too taxing on the system). Plus a good dose of self-aware funny here and there.
